What People Are Saying

“The instructor makes the hour seem like it's 15 minutes to her. She actually says she likes meeting with the instructor. For my child to say that about a math meeting is major.”

 — Roseline J-L, Parent

“The instructor made an immediate connection with our son. He explains concepts clearly using helpful illustrations when needed. He asks probing questions to ensure one concept is fully understood before moving on to a new one. He is patient and doesn’t rush. He cares. In a short time he made a significant impact on our son and his relationship with math.”

—Emily A, Parent

“It’s not tutoring, it’s a class, actually it’s more than a class. I’m interested because it was interesting.”

-Ryder, SVL Student

“This program surpassed our expectations. Our son learned more math in 4 weeks this summer than he had in the last three months of school. And because the instructor took time to connect with the boys’ interests, they actually seemed to enjoy learning math! He also helped our son feel more confident in his math ability, which was really important for us.”

— Navid H, Parent

“They are now remembering dates/times of your sessions without any reminder from me (even more rare), and they have several times reported contentment, even happiness and pride, that they ‘can learn math!’  They have a new relationship to math learning—which is owing wholly to you.”
